Our 2026–2030 Strategy: looking ahead with creativity, care and connection
We’re really pleased to share Fall into Place Theatre’s new strategy for 2026–2030, which sets out how we’ll continue to grow our work over the next five years — staying rooted in community, creativity and connection.
At Fall into Place, we believe theatre and creativity can genuinely change lives. Our work supports mental health and wellbeing, builds confidence, brings people together, and creates spaces where people feel safe, joyful and able to be themselves. This strategy brings together what we’ve learned so far, alongside our ambitions for the future.
What’s at the heart of our strategy
Our mission remains simple but powerful: changing lives through creativity and connection. Over the next five years, we’ll focus on three core aims:
-
Health and wellbeing – use creativity, play & imagination to boost confidence, wellbeing, friendships & quality of life.
-
Voices heard –make space for people whose voices are less heard to share stories, perform, & shape social change.
-
Connecting communities – bring people together across age, culture and experience through inclusive, joyful theatre.
We have a strong focus on accessibility and connection for people who are isolated or from marginalised communities, including unpaid carers, people seeking asylum or refuge, and older people.
What our work will look like
Our strategy sets out a clear programme of activity, including regular community drama groups, issue-based and community-led performances, intergenerational work, and creative spaces chosen and shaped by the people taking part. Alongside this, we’ll continue to remove practical barriers to participation by offering tailored support — such as travel costs, skills development and signposting to wider support when needed.
We’ll also grow our training and skills-sharing offer, supporting other organisations across Yorkshire with creative, drama-based approaches that build confidence, connection and wellbeing.
Building something sustainable
A key focus of our 2026–2030 strategy is long-term sustainability. We’re committed to:
-
strengthening our core team, volunteers and trustees
-
diversifying income through grants, partnerships and earned income
-
embedding clear, ethical operations and environmental responsibility
-
listening closely to feedback and evidence to shape what we do next
By 2030, we aim to reach at least 300 people a year, create thousands of creative interactions, and see the majority of participants reporting increased confidence, wellbeing and sense of community.
Looking ahead
This strategy is not a fixed plan — it’s a living document shaped by the people and communities we work with. We’re excited about the next five years and the partnerships, conversations and creative moments still to come.
If you’re a funder, partner, collaborator or community organisation interested in creative wellbeing, community theatre or inclusive arts practice, we’d love to connect.
