Creative Voices is a creative arts group for older LGBTQAI+ people in Leeds. We are led by Minoti Parikh, supported by MESMAC, and meet on Thursday afternoons when we have the funding to make it happen.
Through the spring and early summer, we are taking part in a one-off project in collaboration with Fall Into Place Theatre called UnHeard Leeds (click for more info). It’s about LGBTQAI+ histories in Leeds, and how they shape our lives today. The sessions will be relaxed and creative, and you don’t need any previous experience.
Also, anyone involved can go on to the next phase of the project to make a community show at Leeds Libraries later in the year. But there is no commitment to that if you take part now.
