We believe lasting wellbeing comes from a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. We use creativity and fun to bring people together, building confidence, communication and wellbeing.Who are we?
Theatre for all that helps mental health and wellbeing, fostering joy, imagination, laughter and togetherness.
Mission – Changing lives through creativity and connection.
Vision: – The known charity in Yorkshire for building confidence, joy and social change through creativity and theatre. Open to all, with a focus on accessibility for people of all ages and physical abilities who are isolated and/or from marginalised communities.
Key aims:
Health and wellbeing:
Boosting health and quality of life – bringing joy, imagination, laughter, co-operation. Improving people’s confidence, wellbeing, friendships and creativity. We are accessible to people with physical and mental conditions.
Voices heard:
Making sure ‘unheard’ voices are heard and have space to share their voices wider. Providing spaces for people to perform, share stories and feel heard and seen for themselves, and to create social change.
Connecting communities:
Bringing different communities together – a theatre for all. Connections across different communities, particularly those who are isolated and/or marginalised. Through: fun, gentle playful approach to creativity, primarily drama, where humour is greatly valued.
Inspiring Creativity and Developing Skills
Providing access to creative and learning opportunities that can lead to further employment, skills building, volunteer opportunities, and study.
Providing holistic support to members of the community to remove barriers – including supporting people to access health and wellbeing resources, practical resources and meeting accessibility needs.
Why – To improve the quality of people’s lives so they can enjoy more happiness, resilience, and connection in life.
How – Reach people who are seeking to improve their wellbeing, confidence, connections and overall happiness. Open up conversations around issues that affect people (particularly marginalised people) in Yorkshire, encourage new thinking and ideas to improve these issues.
What – Creativity, insight and fun in a safe, friendly space– encouraging laughter, bonding, and learning in our sessions.
Our key communities
We wish to be accessible to all, but particularly welcome and make sessions accessible to:
Older people (particularly who are from LGBTQ+ communities) and unpaid carers
People who are asylum seekers and refugees
People with mental and/or physical conditions

Accessible – Keeping members safe and supported, giving people a safe base, a creative home to explore and grow from. Our venues are accessible by wheelchair.
Highlights of key targets by 2027:
Regular programme of local, issue based theatre and community theatre
Regular programme of highly engaging and enjoyable creative masterclasses, chosen by and accessed first and foremost by our core community groups highlighted above, then open to the wider Yorkshire community.
Regular programme of skills sharing, training and support for our staff, freelancers and volunteers, shaped by the team’s preferences and needs.
Longer term financial and fundraising strategy created to allow us to create sustainable, reliable arts opportunities for our communities and ‘go deep’.
